Know how we are keeping you safe

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic it is important that we inform you of the current guidelines and new measures for clinical practice to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and infection.

Therefore when you attend an appointment with us here at Know Your Body Injury Clinic you need to be aware of these changes and measures:

  • Prior to your appointment you will be required to complete a Health Screening Questionnaire 24 hours prior to your appointment. This questionnaire will include a few screening questions for COVID-19 which you would have seen around within the past year and some general health and lifestyle quetions. This survey needs to be completed with full honesty and if this is not completed 24 hours prior to your appointment then I unfortunately will not be able to see you for your appointment.

  • If you or any members of your household present with symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19, if you have been in contact with someone who is presenting with COVID-19 symptoms or been proven positive, then please do not come to your appointment and we will organise that appointment to be re-scheduled in line with current regulations.

  • Upon arriving at Basepoint Business Centre please wait in your car or outside of the building until it is time for your appointment then please come into the building and into the waiting area. We will come and greet you and discuss health and safety guidelines within the building in regards to social distancing and hand washing.

  • You will be asked a few questions on arrival to confirm you are fit for treatment.

  • Your temperature will be taken on arrival.

  • Please do not bring anyone else to your appointment unless you are under 18 or require a chaperone which has been discussed with your therapist.

  • Please adhere to social distancing within the building.

  • We ask that you wash your hands before and after your appointment, along with our COVID-19 policies hand sanitiser and cleaning stations will be accessible to you when entering the building and in the treatment room.

  • Please wear a mask for your appointment; you will be required to wear a mask throughout your appointment unless you are exempt. If you are exempt then please state that on your Health Screening Questionnaire.

  • Social distancing will be adhered to within the treatment room and this will be discussed with your therapist.

  • There will be a box in the treatment room which we will kindly ask you to place all of your belongings.

  • Throughout the appointment your therapist will be using PPE, as Sports Therapists we are required to wear: gloves, mask and visor (where needed). If you require any further information our COVID-19 risk assessment will include more details on our PPE details and cleaning procedures required within the clinic.

  •  Between appointments all surfaces will be cleaned with ant-viral/anti-bacterial wipes and sprays this will include: treatment couch, pillows, bolsters, rehabilitation equipment, chairs, desks, clipboards, pens, door handles, laptops, telephones, desk and card reader.

  • All PPE will be disposed of in line with regulations.

  • Windows will be open during appointments and treatment for ventilation.

  • If you do suffer with getting cold during assessments and treatments then please feel free to bring your own blanket as we will not be able to provide these. We just ask that it is clean prior to your appointment.

  • If towels are required for treatment specifically for patient modesty those are single use and will be put into a laundry bag for washing at the end of the day.

  • If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 after your appointment then please contact us and inform us.

If you have any further questions or have any concerns about any of the information stated above then please contact us on info@knowyourbodyinjuryclinic.co.uk and we can discuss this further.
